I tried e-mailing support but haven't received a response, so I thought I'd try the forum.

I used Peel for months and loved it, but it suddenly started closing unexpectedly. Now when I try to open the program it crashes before it even opens. I tried deleting the program & library and re-downloading from the site but the newly loaded program does the same thing -- crashes before it even opens.

Thanks for any help you can provide. I'm using Leopard.

    Hi.

Your data file might be corrupt. Please send it to me so I can reproduce the crash. The file is located here:

~/Library/Application Support/Peel/Peel.peeldoc (where ~ refers to your home directory).

    Thanks.

I mailed the library file to the Peel support e-dress.

    Thanks for your help!

If it crashes at startup the data file is very likely corrupt. I'm sorry but then there is no other way but to start over by deleting the data file.

I'm changing the data mechanism in Peel 2.0.

    Thanks.

I'm also having serious problems with Peel. It's been a sporadic problem for quite awhile, but now, anytime I refresh my subscriptions Peel stops responding. Spinning beach ball, forced to force quit.

I've tried deleting the Peel.peeldoc file, but after re-adding my feeds, I'm still getting the crashes.

Running OS X 10.5.7, on a 2.8 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo iMac.

    Any suggestions?

I'll update Peel as soon as I get home from WWDC. I've seen some strange behaviour on 10.5.7 so I'm aware of this problem.

    Thanks for your patience.

Peel 1.0.8 is out. It should address the problems you've been experiencing.

Please let me know if you are able to reproduce this behaviour.

    Thanks.

Unfortunately, upgrading to 1.0.8 hasn't resolved my spinning beach ball when I refresh feeds.

    Any other suggestions?

And, again, thanks for your work on this.

When did you update RK? I accidentally pushed out a wrong DMG and it was up for maybe half an hour.

Also, could you send me your data file so I can try to reproduce this.

    Thanks.
    - H

PS. The file is located here:

~/Library/Application Support/Peel/Peel.peeldoc (~ refers to your home directory).

Can anyone confirm that this update solved their problems?
